Performance

 

The Performance page displays statistics that indicate how your investments are doing. View the net gain or loss and the percent gain or loss for each open position, as well as current market value, average price, and total cost. Account summary statistics for your portfolio are provided below. Access to "Account Information" is also provided on this page.

 

The Account Information link connects you with the clearing firm's secure data archives. Use this resource to view account activity from the previous trading day back to account opening. Simply log on and define parameters for your search.

 


View Portfolio Activity for the Day, Week or Month

  1. Select Performance from the Portfolio drop-down menu.
  2. View the performance of your Open Positions. Click the stock Symbol to view a detailed quote.

The following actions are available on this page:

Click "Account Information" -- Connects you with the clearing firm's secure data archives.

Click on a symbol -- Generates a detailed quote for that symbol.


Understanding the Data Fields

PORTFOLIO PERFOMANCE
Symbol The publically traded company's registered stock symbol.
Name The company name.
Qty Number of shares held for long positions, or sold short for short positions.
Price The current market price of the security.
Market Value Current Market Value (CMV). During the Market session, CMV for long positions equals Quantity times the Bid and for short positions equals Quantity times the Ask. After Market close, both long and short market values are computed as Quantity times the Last price of normal market hours.
Average Price The price at which the security was transacted (purchased or shorted). If the same stock was transacted over time at different prices, the prices are averaged together.
Total Cost The original cost of purchasing the security, not including commissions.
Gain/Loss The difference between your cost and the current market value.
%Gain/Loss The percentage difference between your cost and the current market value.
