Trade Strategies is one of the most efficient ways to strategically control your trades and manage your risk. Create strategies to enter and exit long positions, short positions, and existing positions.
If you wish to preserve your strategies for future sessions, you must select Save Layout from the File drop-down menu before exiting the platform.
If you decide to use this tool, we strongly suggest spending some time examining these documents. Knowing how each part functions, and how orders are actually processed, is an important step toward effectively using this tool.
NOTE: Only equities can be traded using Trade Stragegies.

1 Select Trade Strategies from the Feature drop-down menu.
2 The Trade Strategies window will appear. This window holds your trading strategies once they are created. Strategies can be added, edited, removed, or submitted with the click of a button.
3 Click the Add button to create a strategy for entering and exiting a new long, short, or existing position trading strategy.

The Trade Strategies window contains a list of your current strategies. Strategies Names are assigned according to their function. Each strategy can be expanded to reveal Strategy Details by clicking the (-) symbol. Hide the list again by clicking the (+) symbol.
A Status indicator is provided next to the strategy name. If the strategy has been submitted, "[Ready]" appears next to the strategy name. Otherwise "[Not Submitted]" (strategy not sent to the Trade Strategies server and made active), "[Entering]" (initial order has been placed), "[Entered]" (initial order has been completed), or "[Completed]" (exit order has been placed) is listed. Errors such as "[Entry Failed]" and "[Exit Failed]" are usually followed by an explanatory message.
Trade Order Numbers are provided for strategies executed on the market. These numbers coincide with those found in your Trade Journal.
NOTE: Unlike standard orders, which are sent immediately to an execution venue, Trade Strategies orders remain on the RushTrade server until "triggered" by your predetermined price parameters. Once triggered, your order is forwarded to an execution venue.
