The Positions section of the Portfolio window displays details for all currently held positions. Positions can be dragged from the portfolio and dropped onto the Order Entry Bar on the Market Depth Window for fast order set-up. Account totals are provided at the bottom of the window.
Data Columns can sort positions in ascending or descending order. Data Columns provide streaming data for each symbol, including: Type, Symbol, Quantity, Average Price, Profit/Loss, and much more. Columns can be added, moved, or removed.See "Customize Portfolio" for details.

Symbol |
The company's officially registered stock symbol. |
Last |
The price of the most recently executed transaction. Last often toggles between the Bid and the Ask but may be at any price. |
Change |
The difference between the Last price and the Close price. |
Type |
"1" indicates a non-marginable cash purchase; "2" indicates that the purchase was made in a margin account; "3" indicates a short sale; "S" indicates a straddle. |
Qty |
Number of shares held for long positions, or sold for short positions. |
Average Price |
The price at which the security was transacted (purchased or shorted). If the same stock was transacted over time at different prices, the prices are averaged together. |
Profit/Loss |
Profit or Loss. Calculated as the difference between cost and Market Value, excluding commission cost. |
Market Value |
Current Market Value (CMV). During the Market session, CMV for long positions equals Quantity times the Bid and for short positions equals Quantity times the Ask. After Market close, both long and short market values are computed as Quantity times the Last price. |
Total Cost |
The total cost of purchasing the security. |
P&L/Share |
Amount of profit or loss generated by a single share of the stock. |
P&L% |
Percentage of profit or loss generated by the stock held. |

The "Average Price” is the average price paid for stock you hold. Average Price can be calculated different ways, so if you wish to change this price, you may do so, but please note that you do so at your own risk. Stock holdings which are acquired on the same day are figured on a "first in, first out” basis. Stock holdings that are acquired over time are figured with a straight average.
Right-click on the stock and choose Change Average Price from the pop-up list. Click ”Yes” after reading the disclaimer. Enter the new price information and click "Apply.”
