Menu

The Menu, located at the top of the platform, provides easy access to trading tools, layout options, help files, and viewing options. Six categories appear on the Menu bar. The contents of these categories are defined below.

The Menu can also be customized.

File

Items found in the File menu perform actions which apply to the entire platform.

	Connect/ Disconnect	Opens the Login box where you can log on to the platform, or logs you out of the platform without closing it.
	New Layout	Creates a blank Layout window which can be filled with trading tools, customized, saved and later recalled.
	Save Layout	Saves the current Layout -- thereby preserving the placement of trading tools and settings within the window.
	Save Layout As	Allows you to give the currently selected Layout a name.
	Manage Layouts	Allows you to delete or rename Layouts.
	Print	Prints the entire screen, if the platform is selected. Prints a single tool, if a tool is selected.
	Exit	Closes the platform.

Feature

The Feature menu contains Trading Tools essential to the platform. When clicked, each tool opens as a mini-window within the main Layout window, and provides a unique trade-related service.

	Account History: Links you to historical account information. Log in, view account statements and download account data for easy import into programs like Quicken®.
	Trade Strategies: Brings ultimate control to your trades. Enter an order only if certain conditions apply, and manage how you exit the position once you hold it.
	Alerts: Set visual or audio alerts based on stock behavior.
	Baskets: Trade multiple orders at the same time using this convenient tool.
	Board View: Track the progress of your favorite stocks by symbol. Organize symbols into custom groups for easy management.
	Browser: Access any site on the net or "chat-live" with broker/dealer representatives
	Charts: Provides an easy-to-read graphic representation of current and past trading activity for any stock or index.
	Hot Keys: Useful for creating shortcuts by coordinating trade functions with buttons on the keyboard.
	Market Depth: The main trading center of the platform. Get a detailed quote, view a ticker and market depth, and use the Order Entry Bar to place orders direct to the market.
	Market Matrix: Use this advanced market screening tool to generate a list of stocks to trade based on parameters you set.
	News Search: Search for news by stock symbol--then browse headlines and read full stories that interest you.
	Notifications: Provides important information from the broker/dealer.
	Portfolio: Provides information specific to your account. View account balances, currently held positions, open orders, and trade activity by clicking the tabs provided.
	Research: Provides instant access to real-time information about both individual stock symbols and the market as whole.
	Symbol Lookup: Find the stock symbol for any publicly traded company or index.
	Ticker: Shows all orders executed in the market for a set of stock symbols.
	Time and Sales: Useful for researching trades executed on the market during the current day (or up to five business days earlier).
	Market Clock: View market time (EST) and conditions using this easy to read clock.
	Options Chains: Provides an easy way to research available options by stock symbol.
	Hot Key Setup: Useful for creating trading short-cuts -- coordinates trade functions with buttons on the keyboard.
	Properties: The Properties link provides easy access to customization options for each tool. Simply click on a window (such as the Market Depth) then select the Properties link.

View

Use the View menu to hide and show certain Layout elements.

Tools

The Tools Menu contains items that tailor the platform to your trading style.

Window

The Window Menu controls how the platform is viewed.

Help

The Help menu provides information designed to assist you as you trade.
