Market Matrix

The Market Matrix is a screening tool that allows you to search the market for stocks to trade based on parameters you set. For each symbol returned, Data Columns provide real-time stock information including: Bid and Ask Prices, Volume, % Change, Highs, Lows and much more. To add or remove columns, see "Customize the Market Matrix" for details.

For your convenience, a number of Predefined Search Sets are provided. These search sets return a list of stocks that are "Gainers," "Losers," or "Leaders" on the major indices. If you wish, you can also Customize a Search Set.

Search the Market for Stocks to Trade

  1. From the Feature drop-down menu, select Market Matrix and then Predefined.

  2. A list of pre-set search sets will appear. Select one.
  3. The Market Matrix window will appear with a list of the top 20 stocks that meet the criteria you have chosen. The Matrix will continually scan the market for stocks that meet your criteria, so the list may change frequently. To temporarily stop this process, click the "Freeze" button.
  4. To create your own searches, see "Customize a Search Set".

Trade from the Market Matrix

To trade a stock found using the Market Matrix, simply click and drag the stock onto the Market Depth Window, and complete your order.

Other ways to trade include using the Trade Strategies window to create a trading strategy.
