Customize the Portfolio
The Portfolio can be customized easily by right clicking either on the Data Columns or in the body of the Portfolio.
If you customize this tool and wish to preserve the changes for future sessions, you must select Save Layout from the File drop-down menu before exiting the platform.
Trade from the Positions Window
There are several ways to trade a stock from your Positions window:
- Right-click a stock in your Positions window. Select Close Out Selected from the pop-up list. To close out of all positions, select Close Out All from the pop-up list.
- An "Order Verification” window will appear. Review your order and click ”Submit” to send your order.
Set New Defaults for Order Entry Bar (Defaults for this Tool)
You now have the ability to preference specific order types based on the exchange in which a security is listed. To customize these preferences:
- Right mouse click on the window and select "Order Entry Properties" from the drop-down list.
- Click the radio button "Use Defaults Below". This will allow for advanced customization.
- Select one or more exchanges to customize.
- Once the exchange is selected, the order entry properties may be defined including Asset Type, Trade Size, Order Type, Route, TIF, and more. Fields may be customized based on any number of scenarios. You are not required to define each field.
- Click the "Save Defaults for New Order Entry" if you would like these defaults to apply to all new trading-enabled windows you open. All currently opened windows will retain their current settings, but all new windows will adopt the defaults defined here.
- Select "OK" to finalize the process and begin using the new defaults. Or select "Cancel" to exit without saving.

Customize the Data Columns
- Right-click on one of the Data Column names.
(Example: "Symbol" or "Last")

- Select one of the following options from the drop-down menu to alter it:
Sort Ascending -- Sorts the selected column from lowest to highest.
Sort Descending -- Sorts the selected column from highest to lowest.
Best Fit -- Automatically optimizes the width of the column.
Hide Column -- Removes the data column selected from the Portfolio.
Column Picker -- Opens a list of data columns that can be added to the Portfolio.
To add an item, simply click and drag the item from the list into the Data Column portion of Portfolio.
Fully Customize the Portfolio
- Right-click in the body of the Portfolio.
- Select one of the following options from the drop-down menu to alter it:
Title Bar -- Hide or show the blue "Portfolio" title bar.
Links -- Links (and unlinks) the Portfolio window to the Market Depth Window, Charts, Board View, etc.
Floating Window -- Detaches (or reattaches) the Portfolio window from the software and floats it over currently running applications.
Add Columns -- Opens a list of data columns that can be added to the Portfolio. To add an item, simply click and drag the item from the list into the Data Column portion of Portfolio.
Copy Selected Items-- Copies the selected information for use in other applications.
Order Entry Templates -- Choose the amount of information you wish to appear on your Order Entry Form: Normal, Compact or Minimal.
Display Equity Bar -- Adds or removes "Equity" information from the top part of the Portfolio window.
Display Totals Bar -- Adds or removes account totals from the bottom part of the Portfolio window.
Display Order Entry Form -- Adds an Order Entry Form to the bottom of the Portfolio window.
Properties -- Controls the content and appearance of the Portfolio. Select custom colors, font size, and face for the Portfolio.
"Positions" Tab:
Animated Updates -- Animates price changes within the Portfolio window.
Quick Alerts -- Set a visual alert based on stock price parameters you set.
Protective Trades-- Opens the Trade Strategies window.
Close Out Selected -- In Positions, creates an order to exit the position.
Close Out All -- In Positions, creates an order to exit all positions.
Change Average Price -- In Positions, allows the user to physically change the "average price" for a stock.
"Open Orders " Tab:
Cancel Selected -- Cancels the selected order.
Cancel All -- Cancels all open orders.
Clear Dn 4 Day-- Clears any order with a status of "Done for Day".
"Summary" Tab:
Collapse All-- Collapses all Summary sub groups, displaying just the title.
Expand All -- Expands all Summary sub groups, displaying title and detailed information.
Average Price View-- Consolidates price information by stock and transaction type (buy or sell).
Print Summary -- Sends summary information to the printer.
"Balances" Tab:
Copy Balances -- Copies balance information for use in other applications.
Customize Colors Using the Properties Window
- Right-click in the body of the window.
- Select Properties from the drop-down menu, and click the Color tab.
- Select an element from the Color menu. Move the sliders to alter the color of the selected element; or click the Color Picker and select a color from the pallet provided. The new color will appear in the Current Color box.
- To make the new color the "default" color for the window, click the Save as New Default Color button. The new color will appear in the Default Color box. To revert to the default color, click the Reset to Default Color.
- Click OK to save.
Customize Fonts Using the Properties Window
- Right-click in the body of the window.
- Select Properties from the drop-down menu, and click the Fonts tab.
- Select an element from the Font menu. Click the Font Picker and select a color from the pallet provided. The new color will appear in the Current Color box.
- To make the new font the "default" font for the window, click the Save as New Default Font button. To revert to the previous default font, click the Reset to Default Font .
- Click OK to save.
