Customize Open Order Toolbar

 

The Open Order Toolbar located at the bottom of the Open Order window can be customized to suit your trading style.

 

Set New Defaults for Order Entry Bar (Defaults for this Tool)

You now have the ability to preference specific order types based on the exchange in which a security is listed. To customize these preferences:

 

  1. Right mouse click on the window and select "Order Entry Properties" from the drop-down list.
  2. Click the radio button "Use Defaults Below". This will allow for advanced customization.
  3. Select one or more exchanges to customize.
  4. Once the exchange is selected, the order entry properties may be defined including Asset Type, Trade Size, Order Type, Route, TIF, and more. Fields may be customized based on any number of scenarios. You are not required to define each field.
  5. Click the "Save Defaults for New Order Entry" if you would like these defaults to apply to all new trading-enabled windows you open. All currently opened windows will retain their current settings, but all new windows will adopt the defaults defined here.
  6. Select "OK" to finalize the process and begin using the new defaults. Or select "Cancel" to exit without saving.

Customize the Open Order Toolbar

  1. Right-click on the Open Order window, and select Change Toolbar Properties from the drop-down list.
  2. The Change Open Order Bar window will appear with 8 elements listed to the left. The top four are price increments. The bottom four are function buttons (Change, Ask, Bid, Cancel)



  3. Change the order of the elements, by selecting them, and clicking the "Move Up" or "Move Down" buttons. (Moving an item up moves it to the left side of the bar. Moving an item down moves it to the right side of the bar.)
  4. Delete any prices you do not want included in the list. Or change the prices. Click on a current price in the left-hand column. Change the value in the white box on the right side of the window. Click the CHG Value button to change the price.
  5. To Add a price, click the Add button and input a value in the box provided. Click the CHG Value button to change the price.
  6. To change the color of the arrow buttons, click on them. A Color Window will appear. Select the color you want from the options provided, or make a new color by clicking the Define Custom Colors button and defining one. To revert to the default colors, click Reset.
  7. To save your changes click OK, or click Cancel.
