Create a Custom Quote Bar

Traders who want full control over the look and feel of the Quote Bar can now create custom Quote Bars and templates.

Create a Custom Quote Bar

  1. Right-click on the Market Depth Window
  2. Select Quote Bar Template then over and down to Customize.
  3. The Customize Quote Bar Window will appear.

  4. Begin building a table to hold the elements of your quote bar. Select the number of rows "R" and columns "C" by clicking the up and down arrows provided. The table will expand or contract accordingly.

  5. Fill your table with the data elements listed on the left hand side of your window.
Click on an element such as "Symbol". Then click the red arrow (pointing to the right). "Symbol" will be moved from the left hand column to the first box of your table.

  6. Set up the table as desired, from left to right, top to bottom.

To remove an element from the table and return it to the list, click the left red arrow.
To rearrange elements within the table, use the green arrows below the table to move the selected box up, down left or right.

To leave a box empty, click the element "Empty Cell" and move it into the table using the red arrow pointing to the right.
  7. Further customize your Quote bar by checking Border and Left Label on or off.
Left Label compresses the table by removing the full title of each element and replacing it with a left-hand side abbreviation. Border adds bounding boxes to table elements.
  8. Adjust the spacing, height and width of the table and its elements.

  9. Position the Table: Click the Spacing button, and use the single side arrows (green) to move the entire table up, down left and right.
Width of the Boxes: Click the Box Width button, and use the double-arrows (green) to expand or compress the space between columns.
Height of the Boxes: Click the Box Height button, and use the double-arrows (green)to expand or compress the space between columns.

  10. Click OK to save your Quote Bar without making it a template.

    To make a template
, see directions below. To clear your table and start over click Clear All. To abort the process, click Cancel. To revert to Template 1 (the default Quote Bar template), click Default.

Create a Template

  1. Follow steps 1-6 as outlined above.
  2. Click the Save button to the right of the Template drop-down menu.
