Baskets
A Basket is a group of stocks that you trade as one entity. Use the Baskets window to compile a list of orders in advance, and then trade them all at once.
Add stock symbols to a basket, complete orders for them, and organize them into groups . Groups can be opened and closed by clicking the "+" or "-" sign next to them.
Data Columns provide fields for entering your orders. After adding a stock symbol, double-click under each column to enter information or select options. Some columns can be removed.(See "Customize Baskets" for details). Incomplete orders appear in red; complete orders appear in black. Multiple baskets can be created.

Create a New Basket
- From the Feature drop-down menu, select Baskets, and then New Basket.
- Name your Basket and click "OK".

- Your new Basket will open.
Add Orders to Your Basket
- If the Basket window is not already open, select it from the Baskets drop-down menu located under Feature drop-down menu.
- Right-click anywhere on the window, select New Group from the pop-up list, and name your new group. (Example: "Technology Trades ")

- Right-click again and select New Symbol from the pop-up list. Enter a company symbol you wish to trade. (Example: "MSFT") The symbol you entered will be added to the lowest group on your list. To move the symbol to a different group, simply drag and drop it onto the group name.
To add more symbols, repeat this step.
- Complete order instructions for each symbol. Double-click on the word "Buy" next to the stock symbol, and choose "Buy," "Sell," or "Sell Short" from the drop-down list. Enter the number of shares you wish to trade by double-clicking on the "---" symbol located in the "Qty" column.
Double-click on the word "Market" and select an "Order Type" from in the drop-down list. For help with advanced orders, see Place an Advanced Order.

- In the same manner, double-click on the word "Day" located in the "TIF" column and enter any additional information required for the type of order you are placing (such as a price or stop limit). Select "Day," "Day+," "GTC," or "GTC+" from the drop-down menu.
- Repeat this step for every symbol in your basket.
Trade the Orders in Your Basket
- Right-click on the name of the basket (Example: "Computer Technology") and select "Execute Basket" from the pop-up menu. To trade just one stock, click on the stock and choose "Execute Order."

- A "Basket Order Verification" window will pop up. Review your order and click "Submit" to send your order. If any additional information must be supplied before your order can be sent, an "Order Completion" window will pop up. Review your order and make any required changes.
Other ways to trade include:
- Right-clicking on the Board View window and selecting Display Order Entry Form from the pop-up window, which adds an order entry form to the bottom of the window.
- Dragging and dropping individual orders onto the Market Depth Window, and
- Adding an Order Entry Form to the Basket window, then dragging and dropping individual orders onto the form to trade them. See "Customize Your Baskets" for details.
Remove a Basket or Symbol
To remove a basket or symbol, right-click on the basket or symbol name and select "Remove Group" or "Remove Item" from the drop-down menu.
View a Saved Basket
- From the Feature drop-down menu, scroll down to Baskets , and then over to the name of the basket you wish to see. (Example: "Technology Trades")

- Click on the name to open a window. A check mark appears next to currently open Baskets.
Manage Your Baskets
- From the Feature drop-down menu, scroll down to Baskets , then over to select Manage Baskets .

- A list of currently saved baskets will appear. Click on the name of a basket and "Rename," or "Delete" it using the buttons provided.
